It’s always a good time when your friend is visiting from abroad and you just can’t wait to give them a taste of the city life here in Manila. If they want to be closer to the airport, make sure to recommend an ideal place for them to stay that’s affordable, convenient, and accessible to all the popular locations nearby. For short or longer stays, recommend them the Prince Plaza II Hotel in Makati, Manila, Philippines. After their check-in and adjustments, here are the places to take them out.

Greenbelt and Glorietta Malls - For nearby shopping and restaurant dining, these malls would be the place to be to take your visitor out for a fresh start. They can even find some night bars and other recreational things they can do.

Art Galleries and Movies - Give them a bit of city culture by taking them to Ayala Museum where you can also dine in their cafe or other nearby galleries. Allow them to get to know some of the Filipino artists that have created inspirational works of the country. If they’re in a mood for some entertainment, a movie ticket is only a few steps away from the hotel.

Ayala Triangle Restaurants - For a more outdoor feel and some fresh air, the Ayala park is always a beautiful place to be during the day and night. They can even go for a short jog or experience some of the restaurants available. Best time to also go there is when there are special events held at the park.

Nights Bars and El Chupacabra - For a bit of nightlife, this particular area is popular for affordable restaurants, trendy coffee shops, and so much more! The most popular place to eat would be the famous Mexican place everyone talks about. While having a good time, they serve affordable drinks and meals that you can share with your crew.

For those who are on a tight budget when it comes to accommodation, we recommend a simple Makati Hotel. Makati is widely known as one of the Philippines’ busiest business districts, being home to some of the country’s largest corporations, organizations, and government offices. However, not much is known about Makati aside from that. Deepen your knowledge and find out new things you can do in one of Manila’s main CBDs.

1. Appreciate art. If you’re craving for creativity and culture, visit the many museums dotting Makati’s landscape. For starters, there’s the Ayala Museum, which houses works of abstract painter Fernando Zobel as well as a collection of archaeological gold artifacts. The Yuchengco Museum also displays collections by renowned Filipino painters Juan Luna, Fernando Amorsolo, and Botong Francisco.

2. Go on a food trip. A host of cool and interesting restaurants in the metro call Makati their home. Check out Rambla, a cozy restaurant serving authentic Spanish-Mediterranean food, or Your Local which serves Southeast Asian cuisine with a millennial twist. Or if you’re not sure where to go, head to Legaspi Village and pick from one of their many food establishments.

3. Visit unique bars. Explore Makati’s vibrant nightlife by going bar-hopping. For a chill night out, Finders Keepers is a non-smoking bar for intimate catch-ups with your friends or a date with your significant other. For those who prefer more of a party vibe, Z Hostel Roofdeck in Poblacion is an up-and-coming rooftop bar where you can wear RFID bracelets to make your transactions cashless and hassle-free.

4. Visit the first urban skate park. The skating scene in the Philippines is most alive in the Bonifacio Global City further south, but Makati is home to the Philippines’ first and only city concrete skate park, Mountain Dew Skate Park. This park is split into three levels: beginner, intermediate, and expert. Take a stab at skating yourself or watching amazing talents show off their mad skills.

5. Have a luxurious stay in a hotel. After touring the city and discovering its hidden spots, what better way to end the day than having a place you can call home? For a great night’s stay, check out Makati hotels in Manila. The Prince Plaza II Hotel in Makati offers warm accommodation and a comfy atmosphere where you can relax. Fully-equipped with facilities such as a gym, a pool, and even a beauty parlor, Prince Plaza II Hotel is the perfect place to stay when you are in Makati.
